Besines?

A friend of mine from Spain signed her email to me with "besines" and I'm not sure what it means... I assume a form of beso, but I'm not sure how...

Yes, normally, "Besines" (little kisses) and a lot of spanish words with the termination -ines, are used by people borned in the north of Spain.

Don´t worry! is an affectiv expression very normal here, in Spain. :-D

Well, I'm from Tarragona , and we normally don't use this expression, if not we use "besitos", that's is de diminutive of "besos", kisses.

"Besines" is a diminutive word of "besos". It is a way the say hello to

Best regards,

Ah thanks. She is actually from Cantabria, but kinda close to those areas I guess.

And I didn't ask her because we kind of have this "game" where she uses words that she knows that I don't know and I have to figure it out.  Usually I can but this is one I just couldn't seem to find on my own...

I guess your friend is from Asturias or Galicia... That's another way of saying "kisses"... We usually say goodbye by saying "un beso" or "besos"

Why don't you ask her.
