Dear Mary,

I´m glad to know about you after these last six months I have spent out of Spain. As you know, during this time I have been to Manchester working as an au-pair and I would like to give you a piece of my mind about it as you ask me to do in your letter.

The first day I arrived in Manchester airport I was a bit scared. Of course, I didn´t start yelling although I was on the verge.. Everything was new and there were a lot of unfamiliar people around myself. At the airport a serious man was waiting for me with a board and my name on it. When I saw him I could breath in and breath out deeply and quieter. It was this man who finally resulted to be my host. Can you image ? Not only had I to look after his son and his daughter but I had to live in his house. As it was very late and everybody was sleeping at home, I went to bed.
Next day I met the six-year-olds children and his very kind, extrovert and a bit overbearing wife. What I really want to tell you is that she was a bit bossy. Or almost I thought so. I was told about my tasks with the kids, and them they showed me the house and gave me the keys. I had one evening and the Sunday free. The man was always out, at work and the woman run a laundry business and had to spend a lot of hours out of home.

I think an au-pair should be very respectful with the children parents and look after carefully the children. At the same time, for instance if I have the chance to teach them games or how to pronounce a word or go out with them to a museum or the zoo or the park, I do. I don´t really know if they are more dangerous at home or out of home but the mean point is that you have to know that if you are with children you should be focused on them.

Finally, I would recommend you to follow these advices and at the same time try to learn as much English as you can. If you are with the children you should try to study and practice some words and expressions with them and with the parents. If I were you I would try to know some English people so in your free time you could visit the city with them and have fun as well. Ah! Even if you are a bit embarrassed about speaking English at fist, please be a bit self-sufficient and open-minded to speak whoever.

At the end, I´m in front of my kitchen again and I wonder if I would be able to cook some tasty and delicious plate today. I don´t feel like cooking, but for this time I could do an exception.
I´m a master in preparing pasta with grated cheese but if you ask me for another plate, before hesitating, as I´m so cheeky, maybe I would try to cook roast lamb or roast piglet. I can image that smeling….
I dare to tell you about a recipe. Of course, complicated. That´s the mediterranean salad as a starter and scrambled eggs with prawns and a piece of ham as a plate.
I can´t think of recipes where you have to be putting things into the sauce pan and start stiring it till it thicks or even to coat in batter or eggs and breadcrumb, some pieces of meat. I prefer to boil some vegetables or stuff some peppers.
Even though, pasta is my favourite plate, in my opinion, not only have I to learn how to cook new plates but I have to try to eat a balanced diet as well. So, could you recommend me any new recipe ?   

Desde hace poco tiempo el equipo del futból de mi ciudad ganó la liga segunda y en el temporada siguiente jugará en la liga primera. Es un gran exitó porque el equipo empezó la temporada malo pero tuvo la serie asombroso en la segunda parte de temporada - gano 13 de 15 partidos. El equipo ya había jugado en la liga primera hace tres años pero cayo despúes una temporada. Todos en la ciudad estan muy orgullosos del equipo y se espera que esta vez el equipo quede en la liga primera más tiempo. El domingo pasado fue la fiesta en el estadio a que llegaron jugadores, dueño de club y muchos fanes. ¡Que bueno!

ok, im so sad, why? Because, a lot of my country, Colombia, is flooded complety, all the climatic changes are braking our roads, the houses near the river, and there are so much people who lost everything that they had, including some family.

Our area of agroculture is devastated too, because our valleys are useless as a result of the intensive rains that we have.

Every dat, in the principal deparments here, there a new aboit it, it so complicated, but i hope, that the rain stop, and we will continue with in our progress!!!

 Aunque todo los anunciadores de televisión han declarado ya que Mitt Romney es el cadidate presidencial republicano, aquí en Texas, nuestros delegados serán seleccionados en la Convención en Fort Worth a principios de junio. La elección será entre Mitt Romney y Ron Paul.

Estaría interesada en los pensamientos de algunos de ustedes de otros países acerca del concurso presidencial en los Estados Unidos.

He leído que Irlanda y España han vuelto a la recesión este mes. No me di cuenta de que habíamos salido!

No hay trabajo para la mayoría de la gente aquí ni allí y todos están emigrando a otros países para buscar trabajo. Casi todos mis amigos en Irlanda son sin trabajo y buscándolo, pero la mayoría ya han ido a otros países.

Yo tengo suerte, tengo trabajo, enseño inglés aquí en España. No quiero ser profesora para siempre pero como la universidad es tan caro en Irlanda ahora es posible que no tenga otra elección.

Estoy pensando en hacer la cursa de psicología que ofrece el UNED. Que piensas? El UOC y el OU me parecen mejor, pero también mucho más carros, y tendría que ahorrar dinero durante años.

Al mismo tiempo a veces me pienso "donde está la crisis?" veo que las aves siguen cantando y me siento agradecido de vivir en un país sin guerra en donde casi todos tienen comida y lugar para vivir.

This week begins in my city (Seville) the Feria of April. Many people are in an enclosure to drink, to dance and to amuse itself with the friends, to walk astride too.

 I want to talk about ZARA.

Do you know ZARA? ZARA is the most famous company from Spain. But, How did ZARA get it?

Right now, ZARA is a international company, they are in 76 countries all around the world. But ZARA was born like a little shop. The first shop of ZARA was in La Coruña, Spain.

Amancio Ortega created the company in 1975. He thought a new business model. He opened a clothes shop, but it was totally different than the rest of clothes shop.

Amancio Ortega believed that the clothes shops had to sell the clothes that people wants. The competitors sold the clothes without think in customer tastes. It was the different. ZARA study the customer tastes, and later they design the clothes for these people.

Also, ZARA has other type of strategy. They can change the clothes of the shops one time for week. If you go to the shop next week, it's posible that you can't buy the clothes that you want. It do that people have to buy the clothes when they see it, so the company sell more products.

Other important thing is the price, ZARA has low prices, but the clothes is very cool, and it has great design and quality. You can dress like a famous star for a few money.

La isla de Kiribati es un país que esta enfrentando la posibilidad de convertirse en una ciudad Atlántida moderna. En su desesperación la población está planeando dejar su isla para vivir con un dictador. La semana pasada esta nación del sur del pacifico que se está perdiendo decidieron aceptar un plan para la compra de seis mil acres en Viti Levu, la isla principal de Fiji cuyo gobierno militar continua su lucha contra la libertad de expresión y de la prensa. Aparte de las cuestiones políticas el problema de Kiribati - el cual es un problema que existe en otros países que se encuentran en los límites del nivel del mar - plantea cuestiones difíciles. “Nunca se ha visto esto antes, en el que un país deja de existir por un problema climático," dijo Micheal Gerrard de la universidad de Colombia. "La existencia legal" de un estado depende de si tienen un "población permanente." añadió el experto de leyes climáticos. Pero el Presidente de Kirkibati, Anote Tong dice que no se trata de asunto de tipo académico. Para las generaciones más jóvenes, se trata de un asunto de sobrevivencia. Ya hay una carencia de agua cual es alarmante mientras el nivel del agua sube y se mezcla con el agua potable de la isla. Para Tuk Malcolm, un estudiante de Kiribati se lo parece que ya empieza a establecerse un sentido de no pertenecer a una patria. “Eres un extranjero del mundo,” el dice. “Tú no tienes una identidad.”

The island nation of Kiribati, facing the very real prospect of becoming a modern-day Atlantis, has come up with a plan highlighting its desperation: evacuating its population to a dictatorship. Last week, the sinking South Pacific nation endorsed plans to buy 6,000 acres on Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji, whose military regime continues its clampdown on free speech and media. Political questions aside, Kiribati’s plight—one facing other low-lying countries—raises difficult questions. “It’s never happened before—where a country has ceased to exist because of a physical problem,” said Columbia University’s Michael Gerrard. A state’s “legal existence” depends on it having a “permanent population,” the climate law expert adds. Yet the question is no longer academic, says Kiribatan President Anote Tong: “For the younger generation, it is a matter of survival.” Already, acute water shortages are raising alarms as sea water has begun contaminating the water supply. To Tuk Malcolm, a Kiribatan student, a sense of being “from nowhere” is setting in. “You’re a foreigner to this world,” he says. “You don’t have an identity.”
