Weird Food

Last year I was camping with some friends like every year in the summer holidays. One of my bravest friend discovered a snake in the ground, closely to our tents, so he made a homeknife and he killed the snape because our safety was in dangerous. After a while, we discovered that it was a Yarara, a poisonous snape common in south america.

At the end of the day, when we were making dinner, one of the boys took off the skin of the yarara and put it in the fire that we made to cook our food. And then we ate it...

The taste is like turkey and is tough, but it's tasting!

I definitely want to taste weird food because I think that everyday we have to do new things. And this is a good way to do that!

 Pues, aunque yo soy estadounidense, soy asiatica también. Por eso, he comido mucha comida que a otros les parece extraña pero a mí no me parece extraña. Por ejemplo, a mucha gente el tofu le parece muy extraño, pero yo siempre comía el tofu en mi casa y me encantaba comerlo. Pero hay comida que a mi me parece extraña también. Estoy dispuesta a probar todo al menos una vez. En Los Angeles, es fácil probar comida extraña. He probado chapulines, intestinos, tofu "stinky" o maloliente, y cosas así. La comida mas extraña que he probado es una sopa de pene de buey. No sorprende que no me gustó la sopa.

 I haven´t ever tried a weird food similar to insectcs, snakes and so on. I have tried snails and crayfishes but in Spain there aren´t a weird food. When I travel abroad, I like to try the native food but normally there isn´t a strange food. In other cultures, people eat insects, spider and other kind of bugs. I hope that I never have to eat these bugs. It makes me feel sick. Probably, those people think similar to me when they see our food. It´s very nice the diversity of cultures!

Me gusta tratar muy extraño la comida.  Yo creció en Asia por lo que estoy acostumbrado a algunas comidas extrañas.  He comido ballena pero no me gustaba, había probado como peces, pero tenía la textura como carne de vacuno... en Mexico, he comido tacos de chapulines, muy extraña para mi!  He comido canguro, avestruz y salchichas de caballo tambíen.
 

Here in Mexico there are a lot of weird foods, but here in my town.

Although, there is a friut, considered like a root, because it grow up into the earth, like a carrot, or like a potato (I'm not sure about the category of this kind of fruit/vegetable) named 'camote' ( I found is called sweet potato in google). It is not so weird to eat it here in my town, but if you see it, the first time could not be pleasant to think in eat it. It grows up under the earth, so when you got it, you will see it very dirty, you should to clean it and after that you should to cook it, with a concentrated sugar called 'piloncillo'. I'm not very sure, but piloncillo is obtained from corn.

At the end, it is a very delicious dish to eat like a light dinner or a quick breakfast. Very typical to eat here :)

Me gusta tratando comidas diferentes.Comiendo comida de otra paises es divertido y emocionante . Me gusta tratando las especias differentes de otra partes del mundo. Pero me detengo cuando se trata de comer insectos. De ninguna manera!

    Casi dos años atras, yo y mi marido estabamos viviendo en China. Durante nuestro tiempo en China, tuvimos la oportunidad en que viajamos a Beijing, China. Una noche, salimos por un calle muy popular y conocido por su comida extraña.

Cuando lleguemos, vimos muchos vendedores anunciando la comida que vendaban. Navegabamos por la calle y luego encontramos un vendedor quien vendaba escorpiones a la parrilla. Se vendaba en un palito delgado.

Dicidimos comprar uno para compartir. Primero, mi esposo probó uno, y dijo que fue rico y tuvo sabor del piel de pollo. Yo también probé. Yo estoy de acuerdo, tuvo buen sabor. No es una comida que voy a desear comer en comparacíon con comida típica, pero estoy felíz que he tenido la oportunidad de probarlo.

I live in Spain, but in the city where I live you can find any kind of restaurant or store. Precisely I'm going to talk about a chinese store. The first time I got there I was pretty surprised, but now when I have been hundreds of times there it still surprise me. To be accurate, there is something called "Mochis" that are rather weird. They are supposed to be little cupcakes but when you try them, you realize you can't swallow them easily; they are like chewing gums but you know they aren't and you should swallow them! They really freak me out haha.

para primera vez , me gustaria charlar sobre la comida de camboya , exactamente en camboya hay muchas comidas diferentes  se cocinan con las pescados pero algunas comidas estan bien pero algunas no estan bien por que depende la concina , la comida en camboya es sabroso es AMOK ,

Hace unas semanas, estaba en Cracovia, en Polonia, cuando me di cuenta a una vieja que vendía comida en la calle. A primera vista, la comida me parecía como pasteles, pero a probar, me di cuenta que tenían un fuerte sabor de sal, y una textura denso; de hecho, ¡nunca he comido nada semejante: eran asqueroso!

He averiguado desde entonces que estos seudo-pasteles son un tipo de queso ahumado llamado ‘oscypek’, común en la región de las montañas Tatras.
